With views across the estuary, a greenhouse and garden producing organic vegetables and herbs and an orchard at the back door, our resident chef has plenty of inspiration to create seasonal cuisine which is full of flavour and redolent of the surrounding natural environment. Our dynamic, versatile, chef is happy to cater to your culinary requests.

Pelorus Lodge specialises in cooking New Zealand game and seafood- venison, wild pork, whitebait, crayfish, even your own freshly caught fish- with the emphasis on freshness and flavours combined with Pacific Rim influences and complemented by superb (mainly) Marlborough wines. Your five course dinner will be an inspiring balance of flavours and textures.

Breakfast and dinner can be enjoyed around the kitchen/breakfast bar, the country style dining table or by the waterfall in the conservatory and hor d'ouvres, pre dinner cocktails, coffee and after dinner refreshments will be served in the Pelorus Lounge. Our insulated wine cellar keeps Marlborough's best wines and a selection of New Zealand wines in optimum, cool conditions. A packed picnic lunch basket is available on request.
