The lodge has been designed according to the principles of Feng Shui, with the presence and sound of running water, at the front gate and in the heart of the Lodge, creating peace and harmony. The décor is classic, subtle and relaxing allowing the dramatic views outside to shine. Each room has quality appointments. All suites individually air conditioned.

For the downstairs suites, views across the water are framed by lush plantings of native plants and grasses where glossy black tuis with tufts of white feathers at the throat and friendly fantails flit and feed. A paved promenade wraps around the lodge at ground level, with secluded courtyards where guests can relax and enjoy the abundance of nature around them.
